  • Do I need any special graphics card capabilities?

RealPro 3D-Packager will produce accurate 3D simulations at the highest resolution possible.

The higher the graphics capability of the system, the higher that resolution. (Maximum 4096 x 4096).

To view at the higher resolutions, we recommend that the graphics card within your system has sufficient onboard texture memory (RAM).

Generally, NVidia or ATI graphics cards with at least 512MB RAM are suitable, although we would suggest 1GB RAM for a better viewing experience.

  • What is a PVU file and how can I use it?

The PVU file is the default format for exporting your 3D simulations. It is a proprietry format that requires either a web browser plug-in or standalone player to view.

The PVU file format supports full user interaction with the simulation and supports the addition of annotations which are then stored in the file.

Exporting a PVU file allows you to easily distribute the 3D simulation to your clients who may not have the full 3D-Packager software installed.

PC and Mac versions of both the browser plug-in and standalone player can be downloaded from this site.

Once you have downloaded the player, you can simply double click on the PVU file to view the simulation.
